'This Too Shall Pass,' focuses on the mantra which is frequently circled around mothers who are in the act of endurance. The film is about being simultaneously maternally attentive and artistically responsive during what felt like the interminable days of childhood.
The audio is familial interactions recorded on a Zoom 200 capturing the tension of completing domestic activities whilst engaging in ‘make believe’ games.
Created from a place of enforced tedium and ‘not doing’ I wanted to explore the dichotomy of apathy and creativity that has been my experience of motherhood.
'Windows,' is a film shot from six viewpoints within my home. It captures the frenetic charged atmosphere of my domestic environment contrasted with the view beyond the windows which depicts the light moving ceaselessly across urban and natural backdrops.
